The comfort of social media

I have felt the comfort of social media before when I am having a bad day or I just want to feel some comfort. One time something bad happened at school and I posted something on Snapchat about it and a lot of the people that viewed it texted me and made sure I was okay. I felt so much comfort that I know that people cared about me and it made my day so much better. I had some friends FaceTime me to make sure I was okay, and that also made me feel the comfort of social media. Social media is often labeled as bad, which sometimes I agree, but other times there is a positive way at looking at it.

911

The mourn      If we had todays technology back then I bet things would be a lot different. I would find out about the attacks online because news spreads so fast, and people would already be posting about it. The whole country would be in shock as we read about the attacks on Instagram or Twitter. (If I was alive) I would have read countless posts about the attacks and all of the sadness and rage. I would’ve posted something about that day and saying my sorry’s for all of the lost lives. There would be so many posts sharing condolences about the loss of so many innocent people, and what their families are feeling like after hearing the awful news. I wish we had today’s technology back then so that the country could all come together and talk about the horrible day online.

About me

Hey guys! My name is Lauren Futscher and I am a freshman at Notre Dame Academy. I am playing soccer for my school this year, and I am very excited about it. My blog is going to be about my first year in high school. My blog will include my day to day life as a freshmen, and what my daily routines are. I will talk about my schedule at school, and what I do after school like going to soccer practice and games. I am very excited about this year, and I look forward to blog about my freshmen year.
