Wrap up

What I learned from this tech class is how to be a responsible teen on the internet. I always looked forward to coming to this class everyday, and I will miss it so much. Thank you so much for making this class so fun and interesting. Your smile made my day, and you are so positive and nice. I loved typing Tuesday because it was so calming to listen to music and type. I loved learning about tech safety and doing DDL. I want to thank you for making this tech class a class to brighten my day. I am going to miss you next semester, and I hope that I will have you as a teacher again.  Thank you Mr.Glynn!

Elections

I am not paying attention to most because the political votes. I also don’t have much of an opinion of who wins. I am excited for the next election because I will be able to vote. I hope that there presidential candidate will be a good leader and role model for the United States. I hope that they don’t say or make dumb remarks, and that they act presidential. I think that by the time that I vote, everything will be done at home. Since they are starting to do it now they will probably continue in doing that in the next election.

Screen time

I think that each day I average about 4 hours of screen time on the weekdays. Mine is low because of school and then right after I have soccer practice and when I get home I have to do homework, so I don’t have that much time. During quarantine, my screen time would be about 11 hours per day because there was nothing else to do. On the weekends, my screen time is definitely higher because there is a lot more time. I think that screen time is a good feature because it allows you to know how much time you are actually spending on your phone.  After monitoring my screen time on the weekdays mine was about 3-4 hours per day on my phone and about 6 hours per day on my IPad. During the weekends, my screen time is about 5-6 hours per day on my phone, and about 1 hour on my IPad.

The comfort of social media

I have felt the comfort of social media before when I am having a bad day or I just want to feel some comfort. One time something bad happened at school and I posted something on Snapchat about it and a lot of the people that viewed it texted me and made sure I was okay. I felt so much comfort that I know that people cared about me and it made my day so much better. I had some friends FaceTime me to make sure I was okay, and that also made me feel the comfort of social media. Social media is often labeled as bad, which sometimes I agree, but other times there is a positive way at looking at it.

911

The mourn      If we had todays technology back then I bet things would be a lot different. I would find out about the attacks online because news spreads so fast, and people would already be posting about it. The whole country would be in shock as we read about the attacks on Instagram or Twitter. (If I was alive) I would have read countless posts about the attacks and all of the sadness and rage. I would’ve posted something about that day and saying my sorry’s for all of the lost lives. There would be so many posts sharing condolences about the loss of so many innocent people, and what their families are feeling like after hearing the awful news. I wish we had today’s technology back then so that the country could all come together and talk about the horrible day online.
